Abstract
Il presente studio intende mettere in evidenza quanto sia stato lungo e difficile il percorso di ciò che s’intende per tutela della salute e della sicurezza della lavoratrice e, segnatamente, della lavoratrice madre: un percorso che si è inverato in un processo di trasformazione profonda, anche di natura intrinsecamente culturale, in cui sono entrati in gioco tutti gli elementi di una società in evoluzione, qual è quella italiana tra Ottocento e Novecento.
This essay intends to examine how long and how difficult it has been the process concerning the protection of the health and safety of the worker and, in particular, of the worker-mother. It is a process that has developed in a context of profound transformation, also cultural, in which have came into play all the elements of a changing society, which is the Italian society between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
